Sales-fair at Ålgård

Tomorrow is the big day!
The day I've been looking forward to for what feels like an eternity!

It's time for our Sales-fair!
All home-made and hand made stuff, that me and 9 other lovely ladies have made.

The fair will take place at Ålgård Gamle Stasjon, at 12.00-15.00

Here is a taste of what you can expect!

Here are pictures of the things I've made

A work of art is the unique result of a unique temperament

Here is some of the stuff I will be selling in November:

Cupcakes like these, in different colors

Here are the other colors I am going to make into cupcakes
I also made roses out of Fimo-clay that I have made into necklaces.
Currently also making matching earrings!
I have also made a lot of other earrings, and here is a small selection of them

Here is the link for our facebook-page! If you're somehow close that day, feel free to stop by!

Begin to be now what you will be hereafter

Figured I'd make a post to show of some of my deals for the trade.
It's nothing very special, and it's not even much, my room and livingroom is a complete mess from all of my stuff placed all over the place!

So, this is what it looks like when I'm in the middle of making cards. Here, I actually started cleaning up before I decided to make more documentation for this blog, and so I decided to take a picture.

This is my sowing table with my sowing machine. As I said, it's not very special but it does the
job.
Behind my sowing machine is my idea-board, currently filled with sketches and inspiration for the Mad Hatter and Cheshire-cat costumes I made a few months back.

My semi-sorted button-collection! I have even more button...

And some of my pretty fabrics (From Tilda, a Norwegian brand), that I'm gonna sow some cupcakes out of. I really love the colors!

"I paint objects as I think them, not as I see them."

Hello, I realize I am not very good at updating my blog, but I'm planning on getting better. I have little to no readers so I don't really know who I'm talking to...

We are arranging a sale in November, close to my home, and I'm going to sell some of my stuff there. I have made these roses of Fimo-clay that I will make into necklaces!

My sister just had her birthday, and I made these slippers for her. She was very happy ^^

I also ordered a stamp with my name on it, so I can stamp the stuff I make. It's awesome, although I wish the writing had been a little clearer.

Cursed is the man who dies, but the evil done by him survives

Horrible things have happened here i Norway.

A bomb went of in a government building, killing at least 7-8 people, and wounding more.
Only a short while after, a man shot and killed (now confirmed) 91 teenagers on Utøya, at one camp..

This is just... beyond words.. Norway is in shock and sorrow, and frightened. Things will never be the same..
This is our 9/11.

If human beings had genuine courage, they'd wear their costumes every day of the year, not just on Halloween.

So, me and my friend, Anniken, went to Desucon, a Norwegian Japanese and sci-fi convention.
It was absolutely awesome, and I wish I could do it more than once a year!

For this event, I had made our costumes. and I will show them to you now!
Our theme for Desucon, were a mixture of Disney's Burton's and our own perception and opinion on the Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat, female style.

~

Me as Mad Hatter
Made the hat from scratch, made from cardboard, wire and fabrics. Also made the hat pins, and they are actually silver-painter bamboo-sticks decorated with pearls! I made a ring from scratch as well, which is supposed to be a pincushion with pins in.
Except for the hat, the bow tie is my favorite part of this costume.

Anniken as Cheshire Cat
Entire costume made from scratch, except for the shoes, which were painted to match the rest.
Giant grin made from some soft thing which I don't know the name of.
The neck piece/choker and the grin are my favorite pieces of this costume.

~

Cheshire and Mad Hatter had a tendency to sit down and drink tea. And so we did, outside the Norwegian castle.

Makeup can sure make a lot of difference..
